March 22, 2025 Update from Sol

Done

  • Colored cloud fields in space now cause damage to the player if they haven't been unlocked yet
  • Further development of the tile generator and plenty of bug fixing
  • Added outlines for factions to improve readability of enemies. Each faction now has a subtle outline in its respective color (visible in the video)
  • Adjusted effects depending on faction – the flight particle effect now also matches the faction color for better readability
  • Enemies can now be targeted
  • Weapons now support auto-targeting

February 23, 2025 Comet Quest

February 9, 2025 Trade-System

Done

  • There are trade ships.
  • There is a central trade system that knows the purchase and sale prices.
  • There is a new content type called "Trade Routes."
  • Trade ships can retrieve purchase and sale routes from the trade system.
  • Trade is simulated "realistically" in the background. This means that trade ships fly to stations, have actual inventories and credits, and conduct trade accordingly.

Not yet considered

  • The factions of the traders currently do not play a role.
  • Trade ships still need an escort or must be able to defend themselves in case of an attack.
